Boris and Me

Last week I was offered an amazing opportunity…

In the UK there is a General Election coming up.

As usual, the papers, the television and social media are filled with politicians, telling us to vote for them.

And itโ€™s a great chance in the pre-election frenzy for members of the public to have access to our politicians.

So you can imagine how excited I was when I was asked by the BBC if I would like to ask a politician a question.

As an ordinary, everyday member of the public.

They asked me about my voting history, and about some of my views, and my work. It was a lovely chat.

I know that I was being checked out, to see if I could string words together in a sensible order, and you know me, I do love to talk ๐Ÿ˜‚ so I passed the test.

I immediately accepted, and started to think about what I could say… and then, because I didnโ€™t know who, or when, or how, and Iโ€™m sure they have hundreds, if not thousands of people lined up to do these things, I forgot about it and went about my everyday life.

I was at nursery when I saw an email from BBC Radio 5 Live, asking if I was available on Friday morning.

Yes, I was, and this is is the result…

Here’s exclusive behind the scenes footage of Roopam Carroll The Nice Boss, chatting on the phone to Boris Johnson, the Prime Minister of the UK… ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ‘
